Both public and private patients will typically need a referral letter from their GP for non-emergency cases. Your GP should be able to recommend an ENT surgeon near you that will have expertise with your particular problem. The GP will also often have knowledge of waiting times and the best way to navigate you through the system. Once the letter / email is sent in to the relevant consultant, the referral will be triaged and an appointment sent directly to you. We recognise the excessive waiting times that patients are experiencing trying to access both public and private appointments at this time, and the Institute is urgently trying to improve doctor numbers and facility availability to try to improve this. Please be patient with us!
